The MORTEL Side Table was commissioned and designed in collaboration with Sarah Carter for MOON HOUSE, and her stunning home in the Hollywood Hills. Sarah invited us to create several custom furniture and ceramic pieces for the space, and we were honored to bring these designs to life.
The inspiration for this table began with a thoughtful act of reuse. Sarah had leftover zellige tiles from her daughter’s bathroom and wanted to give them a second life in a custom coffee table. We loved the idea of transforming these beautiful materials into something entirely new, allowing them to live on in a different part of the home.
The MORTEL Coffee Table features four 4" × 4" zellige-tiled block bases, each capped in walnut, with a central walnut support and a clear rectangular glass top. A thoughtful mix of natural materials, the design celebrates the beauty of repurposed materials through a distinctly modern form.
Dimensions: Base is 14" D × 22" W × 20" H
